My First Field Pass
I had my first experience with shooting with the 'big boys and their big toys' on the field at the Univ. of Miami football game in the Orange Bowl stadium... I had a blast! And yes, this was the game BEFORE the team decided to try boxing as a second elective. :wink
I actually was asked to shoot the marching band, but of course, took a lil of everything.

Isn't it a little intimidatingwhen you get on the field and you see the pro guys with their 400 2.8's, 500's, and like 3 or 4 bodies? Makes you get major gear lust!
oh yesssssssssssss.. I RENTED a 70-200 L lens for the day, just so I wouldn't look like a whimp with my lil 17-85 lens.. and I STILL felt like a peewee with that lens... and YES major lens envy... I need to buy the one I rented, but still counting my pennies with a few more gigs.
I liked your Tenn Vol shots... I was there a few years back when the Uof Miami played there... it was a 'sea of orange' everywhere we looked.

btw, In the shot you have of the guy with the beer shirt on (first pic), he has something taped to the side of his lens, I saw a few people with the same thing at the UT game. Do you have any idea what it's for? Is it a list of who they need to shoot?
yup, I would guess that is what the list is... I actually took the shot because of his 'beer shirt'.. thought it was funny, I noticed the list on the lens later.
