After finally setting a date and a location we were faced with the even more important task of choosing who would capture the images that would serve as the documentation of this important day. As anyone that appreciates fine photography can relate to this is a rather daunting choice to make. Luckily for us the Milwaukee Art Museum made the choice an easy one. Paul is the museum's go to guy for photo's and has shot there more than any other photographer documenting wedding's, social and political events. The museum showed us a stunning catalog of his work in and around the amazing building and we could only hope that his schedule would align with ours. It does.

Windhover (Grand) Reception Hall is a magnificent cathedral-like space with lake views and a 90-foot high glass ceiling located directly below the building's signature element, the moveable sun screen, the Burke Brise Soleil.

What a beautiful building! Should make for great lighting and stunning photos. Is the wedding to be held here as well as the reception? When is the big day?

Wedding and reception will be held in that room. All I can say right now is that it's a saturday in May.

Calatrava rocks. When in Europe almost every time I found myself in a modern building that was truly awe-inspiring (unlike most modern buildings), it turned out the architect was Calatrava. One too many times of that and I finally had to buy a book of his work. Should be an amazing space to have a wedding, congratulations!

Congrats, Chad. We've been trying to get up there to see that museum for a while now. What a great place!
