My journey started early one morning after several cups coffee.
I thought "finally a nice fall day for a bike ride".
So I headed south along the Ohio River.
After a hour or so of I came upon a sleepy little river town,I needed a break and more coffee.
When I parked the bike I looked up and this is what I saw.

And I thought hmm that name seem familiar :scratch and went in the corner store for a drink.

When I came out of the local quick shopp it struck me...viola.
And yes this is Kentucky we pronounce that work just like it's spelled.

Andy from Dgrin of course...duh

So I thought I would check out Mr.Williams street.(with my camera of course).

Here's a IR shot of Mr. Williams entire street.
Two whole blocks.

First thing I noticed was the people on Williams St. sure are a patriotic bunch.

Next I could see there was lots of beautiful fall colors on Williams St.

Now this was a surprise...I thought this was in Iowa...nope right here on Williams St.

There seemed to be everything you need on Williams St.
If you need car parts no problem.

Lawn care equipment.
Need more storage for the garage here you go.
How about exercise equipment?

And yea even the kitchen sink.

And if you’re thinking of causing some trouble on Williams St. don't bother.

Here's the jail.

And finally across the tracks and at the end of Williams St. was a nice little house.

There sure was a lot to see on such a short street.

Hope you enjoyed my journey down Williams St.
Hope you liked it too Andy

Great idea Fred! I thoroughly enjoyed your venture....some really great shots. I especially like the porch with the pots of flowers and the gate. Amazing what one can find on one street, isn't it? (Of course, it wasn't just ANY street!) No sighting of Mr. Williams himself, I gather? mwink.gif

    Thanks Susan,
For a street that's only two blocks it sure had a lot of stuff to shoot.
Very cool river town to explore too.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's the significance of Williams Street?

    Thanks Ian

    Awais and Charlie
This was a kinda tongue and cheek story...trying to be a little funny
(By the way my wife tells me all the time I am not as funny as I think I am) ne_nau.gif
I did stumble on to Williams St and thought I would see just what I could find to shoot on such a small street.
If I see a Awais street you can bet I will be back here with another story.

Why Williams St. and not Main St. ?
Because I hang out here and Andy Williams is one of the top photographers here
...there are many others he's just one of the more colorful ones. :D
    Also he's the Dgrin pro.

    Hope that explains it.

    Thanks for checking it out.

No barns on Williams Street and no Bar B Que's either??

I enjoyed you perambulation down William's Street

Would you care to describe the Gaussian Blur technique you used on a few of these - IF Ian doesn't get too upset with us??

I dont think Ian will mindne_nau.gif

I do variations on this but here it is:
On windows Ctrl+J dupes the background layer.
Then Gaussian Blur on the copy(layer 1) about 10 to 20.
Then set layer 1 blend mode to Multiply
    Then Ctrl+Shift+E to merge visible
    Next Ctrl+J dupe the background
Then set the layer 1 blend mode to Screen
Then Ctrl+Shift+E again to merge visible

This is just one way play with different blend modes, burning and dodging too.
You get some real cool effects sometimes.

And there was one barn and two log cabins.
And after walking around Williams St.
clicking my 20D I think the locals wanted to Bar B Que me.

I sure they were saying "What in the world is that boy doing"

    Thanks
