From a recent trip to Nova Scotia. These two are from Peggy's Cove, southwest of Halifax. Although it was summer, it was foggy, windy, and cool - quite an adjustment coming from Florida. Will post more from N.S. later.

C/C welcome. Thank you!

Great shots...I especially like the lighthouse. Composition is spot on -- just right. It's too bad you had a dead sky that day -- zero color, and I think the people in the center of the photo detract from it a bit -- but you get what you can, I suppose. Just wishful thinking -- a colorful sky and no people, and that lighthouse shot would be outstanding...but it's excellent just as it is!

    Happy shooting,

    Ugly fog
Nice to see some "ugly fog" in someone else's photos! I like the harbor view even with the "ugly fog."

You could try some "haze removal" tricks, but I enjoyed seeing this photo.

BTW, pretty fog is when it's white and billowy in the sunlight! We lived in a lot of "ugly fog" this fog season and there were so many days it just wasn't worth aiming the camera...

Really nice. I especially like the first one. I'm a sucker for fog and rain and moody pictures.

I love that first shot. It makes me want to go there in the worst sort of way. I visited there 31 years ago. I would love to go again and take my family.

I like the fog shot as well. Gives the impression you need a cup of hot coco and a slicker. Very somber yet peacefull.

Agree about the lighthouse. If the people were not in it it would be better, a nice ky it would be great. I love the foreground though with the rocks and the pools of water.

Ahh, so they do change the boats in the cove!

Nice shots. The fog adds mood for sure.

I really like the composition you got of the lighthouse. It would not take much to clone out the people if that is what you wanted to do.
