I've been stalking this guy for several weeks during lunch hour. He usualy sits within 40 feet of a walking path and ignores the walkers. However as I approached with my camera and large lense he decided I was someone to avoid and took off. I caught seven exposures and these are the best.

Nice captures especially with only 200mm of reach. Its a shame you had soem vegetation obstructing the first shot. Both look a bit overexposed. You might try lowering the exposure level in your RAW comversion to see if you can recover some of the highlights.

Overall a good job on a difficult capture.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I have to say I like the second photo best as well. The foliage does distract just a bit on the first photo, although I would be more than pleased to get a shot like that.

Today I saw a Great Egret flying by, and it looked enormous. A short time later a big Red-tailed Hawk circled around for a bit, and then a couple of Crows harassed a Hawk briefly. All this while I sat in the Dentist's chair looking out the window. I have noticed that the Photography God has a cruel sense of humor.
