How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

The mottled background looks like a drop cloth, it's so under control.
Not a blessed thing is hot in a bird with plenty of white - super control. A soupcon of wing blur, perfect depth of field, a wonderful pose - lovely shot. Nice and sharp, too.
Are you really getting this sharp stacking 1.4x and 2x?

This one is not stacked, just one converter and yes, they usually are just as sharp with one.
With two, it takes more technique and shooting many more to guarantee a sharp capture.
