New Google Earth 4 beta and Smugmaps timelines?

Now that the new free Google Earth beta adds features formerly in the paid versions, like path and polygon drawing, does anyone know if it is possible to use path drawing to construct timelines or tours in Smugmaps? I tried it out briefly and the paths seem to provide limited info. Might try some more after my real work day is over.
