unable to delete duplicate photo in Firefox

I just uploaded a bunch of photos into a new gallery. However, I duplicated 2 photos (same filename). When I went to "photo tools" pulldown menu to delete one of them, the option was not there. The last option that showed up was "Move Photos (Expert)", not even the horizontal line after it.

In order to delete that duplicate photo, I went in using IE6 and the delete option was available and I deleted it there.

Please fix. I prefer to use Firefox over IE6. Thanks.

    Hi John,

The option is there in Firefox, same as in IE6. Make sure you are logged in with your 'normal password', and not with your 'guest password'. Guests are not allowed to delete photos.

I have tried from 3 different computers running XP SP2 and Firefox 1.5.0.8. The problem exists on all 3 computers. The pull down menu just doesn't have the option there.

And yes, I am logged in with full rights. I don't even use the "guest" option.

Hi, could we have a direct link to the photo please? Thanks.

Hm. I duped the first photo in this gallery:
    http://galleries.jchinphotography.com/gallery/814823/1

and then deleted the copy. Firefox.
Can you try clearing your smugmug cookies, and emptying cache. Close FF and reopen, login and try again?

    Nope. Didn't work.

The last option in my pulldown is "Move Photos (Expert)".

    In IE6, everything is fine.

NOTE: I also have problems with Control Panel / Customize Settings in Firefox, all the boxes are blank (empty).

And one more Firefxo wierdness headscratch.gif

Sometimes when I am logged in and I click to go back to my galleries main page, it shows everything as if I'm logged out. However, I click on a gallery, then it shows everything as if I'm logged in.

Can you scroll the move photos tool?

Hm. How about upgrading your Firefox to the newest version?

    Andy,

I just viewed the source for the page ... there are no other options in the source code after "Move Photos (Expert)". So it looks like an issue on the server-side.

I am running the current version of Firefox (v1.5.0.8). I know the just released version 2.0, but I haven't upgraded because some of my other online services don't support v2.0 yet.

I would like the direct URL you are using to get to your gallery. If you are using a custom domain, please try accessing the gallery using your normal smugmug URL. This is not an excuse, I just want to know if custom domain is causing a problem.

In FF try decreasing the text size and see if more menu shows in the dropdown tools. Your screen resolution might be too low or text size too big.
Menu at top; View .... decrease

{JT}, I've tried it using www.smugmug.com and jchin.smugmug.com, both of them still give me the same results ... the last option is "Move Photos (Expert)" ... and the same goes for the source code ... there isn't anything in the code after "<option value="bulkmovegallery">Move Photos (Expert)</option>".

Allen, I've tried your suggestion to reduce the font, that did nothing, even after a page reload.

I'm seriously beginning to think this is a server-side issue.

I've had the same problem in Firefox 1.5.0.6!! Can't see the entire drop down list for Photo Tools but it's OK in IE. Very, very dissappoiting and frustrating.
    Any solution????

My cookie settings in Firefox are "allow" and no excpetions are listed.
