I really like the different angle you've used for this shot.

Beautiful color. I think the branches are cool. I'm not tired of the fall colors. We don't see much color here in Coastal Carolina.

I sure do have more Gale, since you don't get any nice fall colors down there in Florida I'll have to give you your fix. I'll post a new thread with some images I took today in a couple minutes. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the nice comment Ron. Starved Rock is about 1.5 hours outside of Chicago. It is near Utica IL on the Illinois River.
The rock derives its name from a story that a band of Illiniwek was trapped in the 1760s on the rock by a band of Potawatomi trying to avenge the death of the Ottawa Chief Pontiac. The Illiniwek then scrambled to the top of the rock, where the Ottawa and allied Potawatomi laid siege until the Illiniwek starved to death. However, the authenticity of the story has never been verified, and the story is now considered to be more legend than truth.

Well I don't know about it being the best so far, but that is a very nice thing to say Awais, thank you. Hopefully you will show us some of your fall shots when the colors change.
