Interesting angle, you are either in the middle of the market on a very long ladder or using a long lens from the tower. Have they got the Ice rink there again?

    Andrew :)

How nice to see some pics of my homeland... I know Brugge, I don't think the buildings are THAT red, grin, but very nice shot. Those houses with trapped gables are the essence of Brugge. Nice shot also from the Belfort...
I hope you had a good time there. They sell the best chocolates in the world in a small store in Brugge.

    Love Belgium....

We're even toying with the idea of moving there or to Spain in the next few years, but for this shot I just increased saturation a little as it's for a print so I kicked that up just a notch. It truly was that "red" as it was shot late in the afternoon right after a thunder storm and there was a gorgeous sunset...

    Another?

love this one... what a great reflection of the Belfort in the puddle.
I can believe that with a sunset the red was as red.
Don't move to Belgium, pick spain... more sunshine and less people!

That's fighting talk, I know my favourite chocolatier, but there are many makers and everyone has their favourite :D

This is wierd, my brother just took a trip to Belgium over Thansgiving. He took his new P&S digital, and still hadn't gotten the pics off it until he came to my house last night. So I got 'em and uploaded them to Smugmug for him.

So I can tell you that yes, the skating rink is up this year, 'cuz I saw photos of it! :D I believe this shot is also from Brugge, looks like a pretty place...
