now we went to bolsa today and saw the osprey so I took his picture but

    Glenn told me this one was a dark morph osprey eek7.gif what do you think headscratch.gif does not look right somehow :D

    Nice shots JEff...but that 2nd one is not a morph...just an osprey that couldn't get his halloween costume off.

    If I was you.....I'd be worried...very worried. That vulture is following you arond. It can't be good. You taking your vitamins? :D

    Beautiful shots
    Believe that is the female Osprey with the brown feathers on the chest.
    She is a bit larger as well

    Good shots Jeff! clap.gif I checked the book its not a dark morph osprey,but a "really" bald eagle. They are quite common down here. rolleyes1.gif

    Gale you is right thumb.gif they both may have brown feathers but the chest is larger or more pronounced --very good call --and thank you --they say in a nest with two birds you can tell very easy a male from female --but in single birds it is harder but I am with you --this is a very pretty girl bird :Deek7.gif

    they both were shot with a 300 mm so not all wildlife is 500mm rolleyes1.gif thanks but be careful once you go long you can not get back eek7.gifrolleyes1.gif

    maybe if you look at them like Glenn does --balding eagles eek7.gifheadscratch.gif no still not as good looking as an osprey :D thanks
