A change from birds: elk and antelope

Just got back from a trip to Point Reyes and Carrizo Plain (both in California). Both shots were taken in early November 2006, in natural light, and with a hand-held ~450-600 mm equivalent.


Tule elk bull in rutting season, Pt. Reyes National Seashore, minutes before the fog moved in.


Pronghorn antelope, Carrizo Plains, shooting into the late afternoon sun.
