A common mistake is not hitting "apply" then "save"
Are you doing that?

I finally figured out that clicking "apply" doesn't show a change on the viewport (screen); it is simply applied.
I think I read somewhere that I can order my own prints to proof them and do so at a default/discounted price rather than the "custom pro" price that I'm hoping to profit from. I can't seem to find that info now. Do you know how to do this? I want to order a few of my own prints to make sure they look decent before I begin to sell images to others.

Andy,
I guess I am still common.
I go to Custom Pro Pricing,
click on Portfolio,
set the pricing for products,
but what should be in Apply this pricing, and To These fields
before I hit Apply and Save?
If I just hit Apply and Save it doesn't seem to stick....
Thanks.

I am sorry to be so thick. But I still can not get it to work.
When I first started this all, I went into portfolio prices and set evrything to Zero to prohibit orders (I am wondering if this is part of my problem)..
Now, when I go into Portfolio pricing, I set prices for everything; zero for products I don't wish to offer.
Then I don't select anything in the first Quick INput drop down. Nothing seems to apply.....
In the second I select , All Products.
The Portfolio prices seem to stick, when I go back there, they are there, but they don't get applied to the Galleries..
Again sorry if I am just being dense, but it is not making much sense to me.
OK. I think I finally sorted it out.
I thought portfolio prices would change existing prices of all galleries.
I see now that it only sets the default for new galleries?
Existing galleries have to be set individually or using bulk?
You can price at three levels. We recommend that you start by pricing at the portfolio level. Portfolio pricing applies to every printable image on your SmugMug site.
You can override portfolio pricing by using gallery and individual image pricing. Gallery pricing overrides portfolio pricing, but not image pricing.
Note: If you are reading this after pricing at the gallery level, no worries: you can add portfolio pricing to catch any holes in your gallery pricing. Your gallery pricing will still override portfolio prices.
Does this help?
