Priviet (In Russian - Hello), dear friends!
Not all of my photo sessions are then immediately Edited and then their heroes get theirs prints... Some are waiting...
So, this one was taken 28 of September, this year...
Viktoria called me by phone and asked if I could take her photos (She saw her friend's (hey, anyone can help me with Russian word 'podruzhka' - I was told its not 'girlfriend' wich means 'ljubovnica'!!!) photos at my site).
Of course, I said - we'll make some 'test' photos.
I started to make so called 'test' photosession not so long ago to have time to analyse faces, figures etc.. for well thought-out ones...
So, here some test photos (it was late in the evening, so I even had to use ISO 3200):

Again, I tried to make them different.
And, surely, I'm waiting for the time of 'real' session with her.

Spasibo in advance for your comments, thoughts and critique
Yuri

Yuri, I'm not the expert here (that would definitely be you!), but these are great. I am seeing (in her) a very lovely triangle with the huge eyes, nose, and small mouth. If I were shooting her, my focus would definitely be on playing up that triangle as much as possible.....such as you have done in shot # 2. I prefer the shots that were done from above, but she is pretty enough to carry off most anything you would try I imagine. If these are only test shots, I'm sure interested in seeing the final shots! :saurora

    Yuri,
I don't think I've replied to one of your posts before, but I have seen a few of them and I agree with just about everyone on DGrin, that they are wonderful. These are nice, but not as interesting as many of your shots are. I see you used a favorite location (#3) of yours, that beautiful bridge with the lights. That's a very nice shot. I also love the light color saturation on #4. :)

подружка is girlfriend, but I think that's more like a friend who is a girl. I believe ljubovnica is a girlfriend who is romantically involved with a boy? In spanish it's like novia and amiga. Amiga is a friend who is female and novia is a girlfriend who is dating a boy.

    Is that right?

Edited to add, you did an amazing job at ISO 3200! :)

    Yuri,
    Great crop! clap.gif

As to the "podruzhka": I think you can use both "friend" and "girlfriend" interchangeable in this context. GF does not necessarily mean "female sexual partner", it still can be used as a "female friend of a female with no aother strings attached", so you're OK :-)

I think #5 could be used as a poster image to the old Tarkowski' movie "Zerkalo" (Merror).thumb.gif

    Always enjoying your posts! bowdown.gif

Oh, Susan! Thank you VERY much for your realy HELPFUL critique! I posted here only some of the photos we've made... And your thoughts about triangle leads me to try another point of shooting - front and a bit from the bottom (to make nose look smaller)...
    Very interesting!
    Spasibo!

    Oh, Christina!
Spasibo (Thank you in Russian) for your comment!
Yes, this small stone bridge is located not so far from the place I work - so many of my 'test' photos were made there...
    That's how it looks:

    3580.jpg

I was told that podruzhka is a 'female friend' and in Russian 'ljubovnitca' means a female lover, the one with whom 'he makes love' (Strange, but this means that making love can be without love? :-) In most cases, 'ljubovnica' means the mistress of a married man...
I looked at your site and found wonderful photos! And also my wife is fond of horses, and as I can see, you were on a horse from your childhood! My wife Galina is making her first steps in horse riding...
And, of course, I'm there with my R1 camera!

    Again, Thank you very much!

I especially like number three , the way it has been done draws you to the model in a very subtle and clever way .
