Rubbing it in

Yesterday was spectacular. A Crystal blue sky and 77F where the Pacific Ocean meets Southern California. On the way home I took some shots of the Palos Verdes Peninsula ... just to brag. You can see them here:

Everybody was just walking around smiling at the great weather ... upper 70s instead of upper 60s in November. Got a bit warm in the inland valleys ... low 90s. But along the coast "... another perfect day... I love LA"

Yeah, rub it in all you want, you and the other billion people in the neighbourhood. :D

Sean, who's just bitter because he doesn't like November.

Reminds me of the time we had thanksgiving dinner on a picnic table in the backyard - wearing shorts of coursemwink.gif

I love (the greater) LA (metro area) too!

although I find that the bland colours don't do too much for the shot, it is still a great picture. I like the relative distance of the green plants at the bottom of the shot compared to the water.

Laughing.gif ... this is Thursday and it cooling off ... down to the low 70s. So Sean, where is your neighborhood?

Well, PV does cool off quickly when the evening fog sweeps in. Even in summer I find myself in a sweater after 7pm.

For me ... it is what it is ... but I am always willing and eager to learn new things. So how would you suggest I "un-bland" the pix?

The Cariboo region of British Columbia, which is about a 8 hour drive North from Vancouver or the Border. November is that month when the lakes freeze over putting an end to fishing, but there still isn't enough snow to go skiing. So all that leaves me with is watching hockey and playing hockey.

This is a friend of mine. Note the ice forming on the lake behind him and the icicles forming on his pontoon boat. For those of us who are intrigued by the reality of some stereotypes - yes he's wearing a toque, yes he's dangling his feet in the water, and yes the coffee mug is from Tim Hortons. :D

    Burrrrrrrrrrr ... !!!

Too cold for my thin SoCal blood. Smugmug added some spaces to my link which I corrected. If anyone cares to see cliffs, lighthouse, Catalina all basking in 77F weather (our fish come thawed).
