Dirty Bird

The heron decided to walk out of Stowe Lake and onto the dirt. I guess it didn't want to pollute the water? I was sitting on a park bench not more than 5-7 feet away. Brave bird? It then proceeded to walk up on the rocks and then present it's rear to me as it searched for insects. I shot this at ISO 200, in bright contrasty light -- F2.2 at 1/30 of a second.... my meter was way off and that's why my camera is in the shop.

I have a collection of those shots including some while flying. Shame the metering was off and the highlights got blown, of course I don't know if the term highlights is apropos here. :D

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

The highlights was in perfect exposure!

As I said, if my camera had been working I would never have captured the offerings!

I guess one can never "house train" birds! Better on the ground instead of on my head, right?:D

I was standing near a light pole on a pier, when this kind person warned me to move -- but it was too late. At least it wasn't my head, but people came by to let me know I had a deposit on the back of my jacket... eeeewwwwwww

The intension of this egret was to put your attention on his milky waste instead of the highlights. Well, for me it turn out to be a keeper.

    Thanks for sharing.
