This guy was scared of me. He was holding the door and not letting me in. I asked to speak to the manager but he just stood there holding the door.

Size and beard probably. I doubt if foreigners ever go in that shop. He knew I was unhappy when I asked for the manager but then he is between a rock and a hard place. If he calls the manager he probably gets fired for not letting me in.

That is strange. The store almost looks like a Walgreens type.

Yea but out in the middle of nowhere the store was definitely catering to local squatters and farmers. Probably being hung with lens bags and camera did not help.
