Excellent shots of those cute fellas. Just think in the near future they have a good chance of being rabid and to chew up my landscaping. :pissed.

But I digress, welcome to the Nature and Wildife Forum. wave.gif

    How adorable
I've never seen a baby racoon -- I didn't know they were so cute! The first two photos you posted are absolutely adorable!

great pictures and cute too. It is just a shame they grow up to be adult racoons.

I cann't decide witch one I like best I think it is number 1.

I think they are all great shots of this little soon-to-be-obnoxious critter, but my absolute favorite is #2. Great composition and color!

    Cool!thumb.gif

We raised three of these guys after their mother got creamed on the highway. What a pain that was. We tried to let them go about a mile away, and three hours later they were crawling on the back screen!

If I knew then what I know now, I would have crated them up and shipped them to Florida!rolleyes1.gif

Thanks everyone...A fellow photographer friend is part of a rehabilitation program here in Ohio. He takes in orphans and does the best he can to get them ready for life in the wild. Obviously there are no guarantees, but he certainly tries. This brother and sister were recently orphaned and he was taking them out for climbing lessons. He lets them play and climb around in a controlled situation. I just stood back with a tele and shot away.

Seriously cute at this age, but I have a few old grumpy ones that like to go through my trash on a nightly basis.

Great pictures. They sure are cute when they are little, but watch out because they can become a real PITA as they get older. Gee, sounds a little like my daughters, now that I think about it.

We have a neigborhood racoon, which I've only seen a couple of times, although I have seen the evidence that it has been in out yards more often. Boy is this thing fat.

They are adorable. Shot #1 is excellent.

I still think of my experience with camping and coons every time I look at a certain tupperware in my cabinet and remember - finding the ice chest open...tupperware chewed on and open...steaks gone. naughty.gif They are little bandits indeed.

Harry needs more than birds to shoot, so that's what I'll be doing from now on too.

Shots 1,2, and 3 are my fave's. And they are cute. Until the big willow tree fell onto my van squashing it, there were many generations of these guys in our backyard. Other than us learning how to more securely pack the garbage, they were constant entertainment, and were mostly afraid of our cats.
