I have to get a new lens.
My wife said I should go out in the back yard and see the hawk and the other birds that just flew by the patio door. So I grabbed my camera and went out. There were a group of Ravens harassing a Red-tailed Hawk. Of course, as always seems to happen, when I got there they had moved off and gone higher.

You did pretty well here with what you had but a new lens would have helped.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
The shots are all nice and crisp, except for the last one. It looks like the camera misfocused on that one, so you probably can't blame the lens. Of course, a nice image-stabilized 500mm couldn't hurt either.
