Almost 2 years ago I noticed a pair of Rosella's had started to visit my yard, so I began putting out wild bird seed, and sure enough they have hung around all these years.

I know when they are there because they have a unique bird chatter that sounds like they are talking, and singing at the same time.

This is not a good shot at all, but it's the first time they have let me anywhere near them without flying off, so here you go, this is what my pretty little visitors look like.

This is an Australian Rosella ........... enjoy...... Skippy (Australia)

    Very beautiful bird and shot
What a pretty bird. Those colors are so vivid. I think you did well with the shot Skippy, no matter what the bird has to say about it! clap.gif

Nice capture, I have Orioles that chatter away, and as soon as I start to open a door they take off, very frustrating. The colors are really something on that bird. Is it about the same siza as a Parakeet?

Skippy, that's a very good shot. The left 25% could be cropped away, but its a keeper, as is the birdie.

Pantone or Sony must have had something to do with the feather coloration. Around my parts, we might as well all have B&W vision. Compared to what you have there, our birds should take a wardrobe lesson or two.
