Alaska shutterbug

Fall is long gone and winter is here in Alaska. I took these photos of our winter wonderland the other day:





After living here a year, I finally saw the northern lights, and was lucky enough to actually capture some on camera. The max shutter speed my camera will open is 8 sec, and it was so dark I had no idea if the focus would turn out. I was just glad to see them. Here's my favorite:
