Pricing and prints

Four items on my wishlist. Two are for the website, two are for the printer:
1) I would like to see a discount option added for sellers. For example, I currently sell prints to my customers with a discount for multiple copies of the same image. They pay full for the largest print, and get a discount on any subsequent prints of the same or smaller size.
For example, if they purchase an 11x14" print, they can currently then get 25% off of the same print as an 11x14 or 8x10 or 5x7, etc. So the amount of discount would need to be optional in the smugmug setup.
Right now, all of these types of purchases must go directly through me and not the website, and I do a lot of these. So these are lost sales to smugmug and more work for me.
2) I do lots of wedding invitation photos where I am printing the wedding invitation text right on the photo. I print these at 5x7" in order to have room for multiple pictures *and* readable text. These are ordered in bulk - generally about 500 to 600 copies.
Just one problem: At smugmug's price, nobody would want to buy 500-600 photos. So I order all such prints through winkflash.com. They charge 29 cents each, which is low enough for me to mark-up and make a profit, without breaking the engaged couple's bank.
So my wish is for much cheaper 5x7" prints. Something much closer to your 4x6" price seems realistic as the sizes aren't really all that different.
And if lowering the price that much isn't possible ... well here's another idea: How about a quantity discount built right into the smugmug pricing schedule? If you order X number of copies of an image, you get Y discount. This could be on a graduated scale where the largest quantities get the largest discounts.
3) Finally, I am selling a lot of Canvas Gallery Wrap prints now. These are generally 11x14" and up. It would be nice if such an option were available through smugmug.
4) And if we are offering packages that you can't print ... how about the option of "making the sale for us" and then forwarding the order on to us for fulfillment? You still get a cut of the profit. We get the added convenience of letting smugmug handle the sales.
Photoreflect does that. I send all of my sports sales through photoreflect. They send an email telling me which images were purchased and at what sizes. I do the edit and ship the prints and send photoreflect an email saying that it has shipped. They follow-up with a check a few weeks later - but only after I have informed them that the prints have shipped.
Anyway, all four of these ideas have one thing in common: Bringing sales back to smugmug. Sales that I am currently fulfilling without your help. But I don't mind sharing some of the profit if it means you're handling part of the work.
Thanks,
David

We're working on many of these things. We really appreciate you asking about them, and telling us how important they are to you.
Thanks!
