I have been blessed to have the opportunity to witness the Beautiful bird the Osprey fishing 10 mins from my home.
There are two pair that fish this river bed all day, the reason the fish are plentiful but unfortunately small which makes for a meager Holy Grail shots but tons of action, a fair trade off for me :>)
I love the back shots of these birds, here's a few Images Hope you like them.

Very nice, makes me want to go down to the river and stalk some Osprey :)
Really like 1 and then the series of 6,7,& 8 though the eye looks a bit fake 6,7,8. Such a perfect fish too!!

    Great shots
I love these shots, I was lucky enough to see two young being raised and got lots of nice shots. There have been many feeding in the SJWS in Orange County and along the river there. I am still seeking my Holy Grail shot. Is this the river bed you are talking about.
    Thanks.
Appologies I have included all the pictures in the Reply, how do I reply without pictures.

Thank you for sharing them. They tell me a story. I enjoyed looking at them. I think you did a great job with the composition as well. And I like the clarity of the shots and the lighting.

The lighting on the body and wings in #1 is simply awsome!

You get these with the 400mm f5.6?

Gives me something to look forward to with my 80-400mm f4-5.6!
