...to work. Got into the parking lot this morning and decided to try a little low light, long exposure.

Sony 717 - mini tri-pod resting on hood of my Jeep.

f/7.1 exposure 8sec, ISO-100

I'm learning here. Any and all comments are welcome. What would you have done different in this situation? What kind of post processing would you have done?

Thanks in advance,

Steven

    wave.gif steven hi there

you've done a good job with the exposure. the scene though, leaves me flat. compositionally, i think there's more that you can do with this type of shot, you've cut the tree off in an unhappy manner to me. the moon is very centrally located and so i'm not really engaged with this photo. the reason for the rule of thirds is to keep the viewer engaged. the place we go first is the center - when point of interest is off to the side, our eyes get active and happy as we scan the photo. keep shooting, and posting more.

there are some really good composition links in this thread

    hope this helps,

I've been following your words and work for quite some time now Andy. Thank you for commenting on my work. Sense you reminded me of these things, my mind has not stopped going crazy about many other ways I can re-comp this.

I do need to wait for it to stop raining, but then it's back to this spot.

    Thanks again,

    Steven
