high key?-

uncle and nephew-
not big on high key and not even sure if this is considered as such-
would you call this high key?-
edit--I've been told this is not high key, so nevermind-

whatever it is, does it work?-

    Not high key. High key is when you have lighter tones (all tones between mid grey and white) throughout the entire image with a few dark tones to define the image. Also, usually very low contrast, compared to a low key.

    Many think its the totally blown out white backdrop, and the term has been changed to refer to that.

    I think this one is my closest high hey, with all light tones except the hair and eyes, that define the image.

    Also, eta, your photo looks good but a bit too bright on baby's face.

    I quite often like this treatment, however, it seems a little harsh for the baby in this shot. I much prefer the shot in your other thread. :D
