Thanks Ivar and Heather! It reminds me of Fantasia (even though Mickey's not the apprentice here).

I tried several at Disneyland, and this was my favorite. Hard to get nice clean backgrounds.

    Really clean background!
If you did this in PP, good work. I can't tell at all.

And Chris is out of the gate in spot number 1 on the challenge thread too.

Your lucky to be so close to wherever they have this big thing at so you could shoot in time for this contest.

    Good luck.

Nope, no PS on the background, just sunset sky... I did clean up Mickey's edges in a couple places in PS.

It was taken at Toontown inside Disneyland. I just happened to have scheduled a day off to go there last week!

It doesn't grab me as "winner" quality. But it's a worthy effort for me!

I know you've already entered it and there's nothing that needs changing, that literally hits all the right buttons for this challenge! thumb.gif

I think this shot is powerful - something about the stillness of the desert and the whirling worlds... very cool. I like your original one too but this one speaks more to me.

Thanks Kate & Quitarita. I think the first one had a better shot of making the finals, but I personally like the 2nd better, so I went with it.

I didn't have much time for post (got home late last night), and after the challenge had closed I noticed it wasn't very contrasty on one of my monitors.

It's still going up on my wall!
