aw, thanks andi! I'm so flattered...you do such a great job yourself. The kids definitely are gorgeous, I would have to agree!

Hope you don't mind I colorized these BWs in your honor, my go at it was hue 45, saturation 10, lightness -5, I think it suits the shots really well!

Very nicely done. The first is my favorite but they are all very beautiful.

    Laughing.gif! You're too funny!

I really like it! It's a bit different from mine (hue 32, saturation 9 and 0 for lightness in PS, hue 37 and sat 20 for highlights and shadows in Lightroom), but it works perfectly here! Took me forever to try to perfect it for my own tastes and I now just love a slight tone (just about any kind, but especially warm ones most of the time) to B&W photos. Just give 'em a bit more depth, IMHO.

I really like what you did! :D

Wow - what beautiful kids. You did them justice. Beautiful eyes.. wow. clap.gif

I don't give out compliments like this on kid shoots. I wish the girl on the right in the second picture (in this selection) had a catchlight like her sister. They all have gorgeous eyes.

thanks owen, really appreciate your comments! I totally agree with you on the catchlight. I may try to add them in PS, I'm not great at it tho...it always looks fake to me.

thanks for taking the time to comment, Michael! The first is my fave too...it was the one shot I envisioned beforehand, and it turned out exactly like i hoped! Rarely happens with kids!rolleyes1.gif

These are wonderful! It's so great when you actually manage to have a shot turn out the way you envisioned. It's especially hard to do with children! Such a beautiful family and very comfortable with you!

The one is her left eye, yes. The one in her right eye almost looks too close to the lid - like it might be slightly on top of it.

But this does add something to the shot! It's worth perfecting - if anyone else feels there's an issue, too!

    Great job!
