**SOLD**SOLD***SOLD***SOLD***SOLD***

FOR SALE: Canon 5D Infrared Mod by Maxmax (www.maxmax.com) $2400.00 ($600.00 SAVINGS!)

These are practically BRAND NEW. Just a few weeks old and I have all the receipts. Not a dent, scratch, ding on both. Camera only used once and it took some very nice images. The lens has never been used!

Camera shoots infrared, dedicated and full time. This means you can shoot fast shutter speeds handheld.

Quality? Take a look at Andy's amazing images at this thread:
http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=32311

What's included? Everything that comes in the 5D box: manuals, cables, battery, charger, discs, body, body cap, strap.

A new Canon 5D is $2850 at B&H, and the rebate now is $300, so $2550. The IR mod goes for $450 at maxmax.com. So, this would cost $3000 all in, new.

You pay insured UPS shipping ($20). Payment methods: Cash, Money Order, Bank Check.

Reason for sale? Nothing wrong with the camera at all. I just need to sell some of my equipment because of a family emergency. I would keep this in a heart beat if I didn't need the cash. If You are in the NoVA area you are more than welcome to come by and personally inspect all the equipment.

If I can figure out a way to sell one of my kidneys this weekend, I will let you know.

This is the ultimate IR camera!

Will not sell the lens before the camera as I bought it originally as the perfect combo for the camera. If the person buying the camera doesn't want it then I will sell the lens on its own.

Mark... you may want to consider getting some PICs of the body up on eBay, and here. Yea, most people know what a 5D looks like. But it helps with sale-ability. Just part of the sales technique.

Good luck... I'm watching it out of curiosity.

One per post. You can reply with more posts, more photos :)

You can also link, from another website, as many photos as you wish, in one post.

I was going to bid but I see that the 24/1.4 is no longer part of the combo deal? Did you decide to do what you said you would not do and split them up?

    Lens
Yes Lucky, they were split up the first day I posted the combo due to all the interest in the lens. The listing was changed right away. The title changed in the thread but for some reason it doesn't change on the Flea Market listings page. The combo lens+camera pkg was never offered in the eBay listing. If you'e interested in the camera body please go to eBay and make a bid.

    Thanks,

    Mark

Does anyone know Mark or had dealings with him in the past?

Mark, I am not calling you out on this at all. I am truly interested in the camera. I just want to be really careful. You have 0 feedback on ebay and only 7 posts here. I am in Virginia but on the other end of the state from DC so seeing it in person is not an option.

I saw the post on ebay that the one guy left. That was bad form, I hope you do not perceive this as such.

No this did not come from Andy but Andy is the one who recommended that I originally go to Maxmax which I did. I consulted him a few times when I originally was looking to get an IR camera. Feel free to call Maxmax and verify it. I have the receipts for the camera and the work done by Maxmax. Again, anyone wanting to come by to see it or send a friend by to see it in the DC area is welcome to it. I had a 24mm lens that went with it and a guy from dgrin bought it separately. He seems to be quite happy with his purchase. If you don't want to bid ....don't bid. I have one bid already from a nice fellow in California.

You could always call Dan Llewellyn at Maxmax and ask him about his dealings with the poster.

It is not my modified camera.
