I'm In connecticut on leave. I finally got a vacation. While staying with my parents, I parked myself out in the back yard. THere are three bird feeders and I was trying to get a shot of the cardinal families that frequent these feeders. But both the male and the female were very timid. I mannaged these few.. I was outside for an hour in the cold, and after a while I couldn't feel my fingers..

Enjoy. :):

I tried bracketing a couple shots to lighten this squirrel up, but theis was the best one.

Yay clap.gif I like the cardinal shot especially. Are these the ones that came before mom scared them away?

Does that starling only have one leg or is it a trick of the angle? Also, that little downy looks a lot like a small woodpecker. I'm gonna have to go freeze out on the deck and see if I can get any visitors :)

I didn't get any Cardinals. I think she came out before a majority of the birds were out. The Starlin has two legs. HE straddling the feeder. OIne leg on the other side of him.

THe Downy is a woodpecker. I hear them tapping at the trees around here. The male is impressive, he has a red spod on the back of his head.

Wow, I had a brilliant post, huh? Just goes to show I can't multi-task as well as I thought I could. I have no idea where I got cardinal from. I meant Blue Jay. headscratch.gif

Aww, so I'm not crazy then, about the downy? I guess I've just never seen a female before. We do have a male that hangs out by the feeder every once in a while, but I haven't seen him in quite some time.
