now this shot is the fault of the lens --you can plainly see I had framed the shot just fine and that dam new lens clipped the wing --nikon will hear about this
I assume that's your new 500mm. Excellent captures especially the kestrel shots.

Good shots all Jeff! I must have just missed you! I also saw the woodpecker, but did not get a chance to shoot it. Another photographer removed the orange ribbon from the stick, that your kestrel was sitting on. I got a not so good shot of one of the kites sitting on it.

yep the 500 the heavy ,big thing thanks it is harder to shot and adj to than I thought it would be --pratice pratice pratice thanks Harry now i need an eagle
Looks like someone needs to start working out. Both the hanheld and the clipped wings show the lens was getting too heavey to hold
Beautiful shots all the same. If thats your idea of just learning I can't wait to see the results once you have it sussed

Damn Jeff, now you force me to shift my priorities again towards that famous 500mm (+TC1.4) with these really great captures. Well...congrats and I'm eager to see much more from you (your 500mm )
Thanks for sharing.
