Why can't other people see anything? I can see fine.

I've just opened a pro account, and started a test customization to get a handle on how to do (being HTML challenged). I can see everything I've done, and it looks like I expected it to. Whenever anyone else goes to my page (davecraig.smugmug.com), all they see is the red background. Nothing else at all. What am I missing? I'm a bit lost, and could use some direction. It's very annoying.

What are we supposed to see? I see a red background, a Dave Craig header w/ several pictures, below that are picks for Home, Party Gallery, Wedding etc (2 rows), 6 empty galleries and the "page components" gallery. What's missing that you expect to see?

    Isn't that odd....
First, thanks for the welcome, and replying so quickly.

Obviously you can see it....that's really confusing and making me look/feel a bit foolish. My wife can't see it from her machine, I couldn't see it at the office, and I couldn't see it from a customers machine as of 2 hours prior to this reply. They all just showed the red background, not even the standard smugmug footer- the scroll bar is empty, so it doesn't appear to be hiding below the page.
I also can see it logged in or out on my machine. My wife not seeing it is really throwing me, as she has all the same software on her machine as I do, and is on the same roadrunner connection. Now what do I do?ne_nau.gif

    You've found it
You found the difference- the obvious thing I missed (duh)--I'm using firefox, and it doesn't show up on MS internet explorer.

You are styling the color of the page with css, and you have this in the header. <body bgcolor="#DD001A" Try removing it and see what happens.
Also check your navbar code, there are some open tags....
BTW it was all red for me too with IE6
edit: On a second look I noticed you have two navBars with the same id. You might want to give the second one a unique name and style accordingly.

    OK---some progress
Rich's suggestions made a big difference on IEbowdown.gif, now most of it shows up. Unfortunately, I'm not sure exactly what tags are, which makes them tough to close. My nav containers aren't displaying in line, in the font I selected, or with background or hover color--just with bullets. I've got a suspicion that its because of the tags Rich mentioned...but I'm not sure, or how to fix it (did I mention I'm HTML challenged?headscratch.gif). I could use a little more help with that.

Also, a couple of var strings are showing up on the page--no clue why, what they are, or what they're screwing up, but I'm sure it's not a good sign....

Thanks. I'm really surprised to get such good help, I've never seen a forum where people actually helped anyone--usually it's just a place to receive any abuse you've been missing out on.

Remove these from your navBar code. <br
See what it does. Maybe a navBar Master will stop by and check.

I'm right there with you. I have a hard enough time with my first language much less with three additional languages (html, css, js)

    You nailed it
The extra line breaks were the problem--thanks for the help!

    I'm glad it worked out.
Check your banner width in some of your css.
    It should be 750px wide..
