Hello, did a search and didn't see this reported elsewhere.

I have a problem with a hot pixel effect showing up on photos viewed in the slideshow, but not SmugMug, Thumbnail, or other modes. I have tried deleting and reloading and they continue to show up. Anyone run into this before? Here's an example of screenshots taken from a few of the worst and then combined:

Any ideas on how to remedy the problem?

Cliff

    Hi Cliff,

It's a dumb IE6 bug that our engineers just can't overcome. We wish it were possible, but thus far, all of JT's efforts have been thwarted. The slideshow shows perfectly in Firefox, Safari, and IE7. Thankfully, IE6 is being upgraded to IE7 even as we speak, for folks.

Wish I had a better answer for you, I really do.

It's interesting because I use IE 7, and that is where the screenshots came from.

Well - good to know, and I'll be sure our JT sees this.

Thanks. Is it something to do with the registration of black in IE under these cirumstances? It seems that all of the hot pixels are in the same range of black.

I am working on some new slideshow code that may sidestep this problem. Can't tell for sure but it looks promising.

OK, I'll check on it from time to time...
