this past saturday in mono lake and for once i was by myself noone there, it was great and peacefull

    Looks like a fantastic place, no wonder it is normally popular.

    I have to admit, not knowing the area, I was expecting to see a B+W image headscratch.gif, and then I got hit with those fantastic colours :D

    Great shot. Lovely and calm there. Personally, I think I would have been tempted to place the island on a 'third' rather than in the centre, but then that's just me. And where it is does make the shot lovely and symmetrical... :D

    I think, though, that you have added a bit *too* much saturation in Photoshop. My picture has saturation added (and it is very, very saturated at sunrise anyway), but yours makes me squint a bit... looks like you may have bumped the saturation in red & yellow up past 40% and it starts to lose all tonality. Almost looks like you're going for a posterization effect... and the tufas are too beautiful to let that happen ;-)

    I think you might have dust on your sensor...Check the upper left had corner of the image.
