I'm looking for a new camera bag. I want a back pack model. I have Lowepro Micro Trekker 100 and it has served well for many years. Problem is now I have out grown it and so has my camera. With the additional battery grip it doesn't fit very well and with f2.8 zoom lenses it doesn't give me much extra space. I also would like my new one to have a tripod holder. Weather proofing wouldn't be a bad idea either. Does anyone have any recommendations? I would like to get a new one soon, especially before snow shoeing starts. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. :D

I just purchased the Lowepro dryzone 100. Which seems to cater for me and my lens quite well. As the name sugests it is water proof with a serious heavy duty zipper protecting an internal camera bag. It has a normal zipper behind this one so unless the weather is dodgy you don't need to go all out.
It has a good tripod holder on the back and 2 stretch mesh sides to hold water bottles. The front of the pack isn't huge but you could get your lunch and a few bits and pieces stashed away without too much effort. Plus the other bonus I like is that its rated as carry-on luggage.

    Hope that helps out

Look at the Lowepro, Tamrac, and Kata lines. That should give your a really good selection. I spent quite a while debating between the Nature Trekker AW II, Expedition 7, and R-103. I ended up getting a realy good hands-on at a camera show last weekend & walked out with the Expedition 7--I was expecting to pick the Lowepro, but the Tamrac won me over. Very nice bag.
