Dropping pennies

from time to time I break out my flash, a glass, some construction paper, and some water and see what I can come up with. I place the construction paper under the glass. Depending on the lens and angle you shoot at, the light picks up the construction paper under the glass in different ways. Here is an example of one I did earlier this year with my 70-300IS... http://photos.tallmanphoto.com/photos/59618377-L-2.jpg

now the one I cooked up last night came out pretty neat. I was dropping pennies into a glass trying to get the trail of air behind the penny lit up like a ribbon. This one in particular was real sweet... it hit the side and richochet'd off. Its me, the XTi, 50mm f/1.8MK1, 580ex, and a roll of pennies. I havent cleaned this one up at all like the one in the link above... its still a bit rough bit you get the idea :)

I'm interested in seeing the final work.
    I like the idea though.

Thats a rather cool shot sirsloop :D gosh look at how the penny at the bottom looks so bent and distorted , I love the way the water has been captured as the penny has entered the glass clap.gifclap.gif
