Uload photos in original size

I am trying to upload jpg I intend to use for background however it does not seem to be uploading at original size. Why would this be and how can I get it uploaded at the original size.

What uploader, what type of file, and what size is it, in megabytes and megapixels?

It should upload just fine. You can try another uploader, if you wish - just to be sure - try the olde faithful one.
