What the heck!? (color calibration woes)

So, I calibrated my new laptop with Adobe Gamma as a stopgap measure because blues were showing as purple. I got it pretty darn close (as close as gamma can get anyways). Now that I'm home I hooked it up to my Eye One display 2...and the results look pretty good, slightly off but maybe I'm just not used to it yet. Then I go into PS, set a color 0R 0G 255B...and low and behold it's purple again. Ideas?
