I was outside trying to get a shot of a bee in flight, but danged if I can get that right :dunno they're just too fast for me
especially because I tend not to crop my work, I like to fill the frame as I shoot.

This little Bee was happily buzzing around the Lavender and sat for quite a while so I was able to capture him.

The second shot is just a crop of the first shot :D its for Nick just so he can see it's not quite in the the middle :rofl

Shots hand held / Canon 20D / Canon 100mm Macro / Kenko Tube / Ext Flash / Foam Paper Diffuser / ISO 100 / F20 / Shutter 200

Enjoy....... Skippy (Australia)

Lovely captures Skippy- excellent colour clarity composition and light :)
I wouldn't be too dissappointed about the BIF shots- Bees are one of the hardest to capture apart from rear end shots (which I'm a specialist at). Hoverflies are much easier.

Thank you Brian, I'm gonna keep trying for a BIF though :D
My biggest problem is not being able to have the flash where I want it, I really need one of those Flexible Flash brackets, I've not found anywhere in Australia that sells them, so I may have to just hold off till I go to USA.

Thanks for looking :D ...... Skippy (Australia)

    Way to go Skippy!!!!
You really captured that fuzzy bee. Nice work. I see you used the most excellent foam bouncer too! Wasn't there a nursery rhyme that went...Fuzzy Wuzzy was a "oh, never mind....bear". rolleyes1.gif

Boy these are nice, Skippy! I can't imagine trying to capture a bee in flight....I have a hard enough time trying to capture a bird (and they're ALOT bigger!) The sharpness and color in these is super! :saurora

Thank you, but it is really a little bee, it just looks big cause I was close and the heads on those Lavenders are vary in size, some are big and others are small......... Skippy (Australia)
