EDIT: No these weren't shot through glass, but for school. I had to develop and print them myself and the squeege at the school is really bad and scrathes the film more often than not. But then again, it could be scratches on the lens that were magnified from the macro adpater I used.

Setup -

Minolta SRT201
Standand 50mm f1.8
with macro adapter

Hi there......it looks like you have taken the shot through glass ???

The second shot really shows up all the scratches on the glass, which doesn't appeal to me at all.

I'd like to see the image more distinctively black & white, it looks washed out??

So if your asking which shot......... I'm gonna have to go with the first one as it shows up less marks than the second image you posted.

1st one for me. Just to much empty fog in the 2nd one on the left.

What kind of board is that?

It's a a sound baord if that's what you're asking. If you're referring to the brand then I'm pretty positive it's a Mackie.

Also I added some background to my main post on these shots.

    Great!
I really like it - and to be honest the noise etc really adds to it in my opinion - there's not much of a shot there without the atmosphere and that's what gives it.

and I prefer the non-crop - it gives it more depth and feel

I'd be tempted to do something like this though . . . I've overdone it, but it was quick
well, this is nice. I rather like it.

I like the treatment by greatnorthwood on the 2nd pic - it takes away just enough of the empty space and really adds to the feel.
