Priviet, dear dGriners!
This time I've made my first steps with F32 flash (oh!). Of course she (Julia) came in white sweater and black jacket :-)
The first and the last were made in our VIP cafe with orange ceiling :-)
1 I bounced flash from the ceiling (3-4 meters)

2 This and the next one were taken in a big hall with ceilings ~6 meters (in darkness)

Like this marble staircase..

Near the window (And for the first time lamps outside - not my beloved awailable light!)

Now I feel I'll receive some severe C&C :-)

I like #3 and especially the last one. In the last one, there is a person/elbow that is a bit distracting on second look. Nice series. -Kate

I like 1 and 6 the best. For 2 and 3, you would have done even better had you also used a little forward flash-fill. Bouncing the light of the ceiling brings all the light down from above, causing the eye sockets to be is shadow. Attaching a small white card to the back of the flash to act as a reflector will direct some of the light forward and fill in those shadows a bit.

    Yuri,

I like # 6 the best. I wonder how it would look if you cropped it to a head shot? I think with the expresion, and the steps in the background it would look pretty good.

    Keep up the good work!

    Yuri,
    Interesting!
I applaud your keeping trying the new things! clap.gif

#3 could almost be a full page ad for some mp3 player - had you cloned out the white bowl on the left...rolleyes1.gif

    Thanks for sharing! thumb.gif

I would brighten the eyes in two and three.

In a perfect world, if you could recompose you would advise her to tilt her chin up a lot higher after noticing the racoon eyes. This way there is more fill. The slight detail makes a big difference. Crop in on the last one. That would be your best photo.

If you're going to work with this model more often. Tell her to watch out for the spider hands in six. When modeling hands just let them arch and not flat and spread out.

    Great photos! Keep shooting.

    Hi, Yuri
I like this photos set, it is fun when you try different things.
I tried to see what I might want to change so, I would like these
    photos more.
    #1 is a great photo.
    #2 is a great photo.
#3 nice photo, I would perfer not to cut off arms and part of head in photos.
#4 Great photo, love the marble stairts and background.
#5 nice photo, I think if, her elbow was out more with the hand in the pocket it would help.
#6 Good photo, maybe put hand in different postion.
#7 nice photo, tighter crop on left side might look better.
