Samy's camera has a store in Venice Beach, CA, just south of Santa Monica.
North of LA, south of Thousand oaks is Canoga Camera in Canoga Park.

Canoga has better price but a smaller selection. They also match their online prices if you mention it. Samy's doesn't really do that but they have a larger selection. Canoga seems to favor Sigma as their third party lens, Samy's more Tamron except the Fairfax store has all/most of the lenses.

Do an online search for them for more info.

TeeWhy pretty much sums it up ... Canoga Camera for pricing (internet pricing with over the counter service) ... Samy's for selection. Sales Tax in LA County is around $.085 ... so don't forget to add that to your bottom line.
