Yesterday my son and I went hiking to Spruce Brook Falls. It was very nice, very quite and very beautiful. My son is also a nature lover and has a decent interest in photography. I tried to teah him a few things about shooting nature, being patient, and safe hiking. We had a real good time and I got some lovely pics. Here are some of my favorites. Let me know what you think if you would. I love feedback and critique. Always room for improvement. Thanks a bunch. :D

    Hi Michael

1,4 and 5 are my favourites.I don't like the way the stream goes out of the picture and then returns in no 2.I'm also not keen on the way my eyes feel like they are being pulled apart in 2 different directions in no 3.I would love to see a tighter crop on no 5-concentrating on the 4 stone area around the middle of the picture.About 1/3 of the way into picture 1 there is a darker section with fine spray.I think this would have also made for a very interesting picture. To my eyes no 6 does not work at all.I've tried similar pictures myself looking down waterfalls and I'm always disappointed with them.
Just my opinions which mean nothing if you like the pictures yourself. It looks like an excellent location, very reminiscent of the Lake District in the UK where I live.Well donethumb.gif .
