have wanted to use a similar headline for a long time -- patterned after a famous New York Post Front Page headline - one of the all time greats titled: "Headless Body Found in Topless Bar"....

Twas a gray day, but the hawk wasn't more than 20 or 30 feet away in a nearby tree..

Enjoy...Regards...Keith

Once the leaves are off the trees, the hawks chest feathers just GLOW in the late afternoon sunlight.

I wish I could get within 20-30 feet of them though.

    Thanks for the comments...
    Appreciate all comments.

Pathfinder - In this case, I didn't have to go far - about 15 feet away from my deck as I saw the hawk fly through my backyard to the side of my house - and he landed in a tree 15 feet away from my house about 15 feet up.

when I went around the side of the house, he was looking away from me, so I just put camera to eye and kept walking closer, clicking along the way. - Doesn't happen that way very often...

Excellent capture Keith. I think this must be hawk week with the number of hawk shots I'm seeing being posted here.
