While people in my direct surroundings are mugging me and stealing my available time, I still manage to get a few snaps. I hope you like them.

I can’t do without a picture of an Egret.
Picture # 2
Spot metering will help to deal with exposure if the subject is bright, but the price in this case is a very dark background.
Picture # 3
…and of course…a Green Heron. I like the aggressive look in his face.
Picture # 4
I was able to snap only one shot of this Groove-Billed Ani. They’re very rare on Aruba so I keep this one.
Picture # 5
Well I thought: “Let me be creative”.

“PHOTOGRAPHY IS THE ‘JAZZ’ FOR THE EYES…”

I hate it when I get a shot like the snowy where the bird comes out fine but the background is eech. What I've been doing is to make a duplicate layer and bring out the background details somewhat and brighten it up. Then I make the dup layer a mask, apply NR to the dup layer and "paint" out the bird. You lose some of the detail in the background (which is fine BTW) but retai the details in the subject.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Those greenies have so many silly expressions...lol
I like your tiny shell...:>)))
Nice images you have...
