Thank god turkey day came & we went back home along the mississippi in Iowa (quad cities) I've had nothing to shoot around here. I hit lock & dam 14 the Eagles come down from up north to fish the dam. only one so far & he didn't want to photographed, but there is a nice island you can get to with jays, woodpeckers, cards & cedar waxwings.

Then I hit Niabi zoo, small but nice.

I got my eagle shot there

I felt bad for them after seeing them free at the dam, but it turns out that these are from the goverment & have problems. This guy had a caterac on the other eye.

I don't think this is what they had in mind when they put food despinsers up for you to feed the swans, but since nobody was around ........:dunno

uh:scratch they didn't really eat it out of my hand as much as bite my fingers untill I dropped the food.:D

It was a great 4 days , shooting wise I was off & missed more shots than i had wished..but that's why I keep trying to learn more.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

The lioness has such a forlorn look on her face. Love the swan shot. :D

    lovely shots ....
but you should see how many i toss...as i get more familiar with the camera, ii've tried to throw out even more...i think once you get a few good shots, and you see what good is, you should try to raise your standards and not settle for less - keeps the hard drive from getting too ridiculously crowded alsomwink.gif
