Antique Gas Pumps at Saranap's Filling Station

Well I finally made it out there. It took about an hour and traffic was light except for getting onto the Bay Bridge. It was fairly easy to find using a Yahoo map printout.
Saranap Filling Station. 1601 Tice Valley Blvd. Walnut Creek, CA 94595.
There are four albums. The first is an overview of the gas station and the pumps. The second are pump closeups, the third pump signs and last, pump rust/texture combinations.
These are processed quickly, mostly just straighten, crop and levels. I used contrast masking on 2 of them. After cloning out wires on one of the images, I decided to show you the "real" view to let you know the amount of cloning, and careful shooting required to dodge cars, power lines, etc.
Here's an overview. I stepped to the safety island to take this, and had to wait for people making a right turn to finish... two women smiled at me, it must be common to see photographers shooting these pumps.
As you can see it's heavily overcast, streets are wet, and it was sprinkling lightly while I was taking these.

I hope these links work. I somehow managed to put albums within an album :-(

My titles not intriguing enough?
I noticed that this forum doesn't get nearly the views and comments as the landscape wildlife one does.

That depends, it goes in streaks. Different forums seem more popular at different times.
Thanks for sharring these. They are pretty cool. I dont see any pumps that old around here. I am guessing with our winters and salt they rusted far worse.
Thanks for sharring them.
Very nice set good shots.
I like the rust and pump galleries best very cool.
Some of these I remember when I was a kid.
There is a guy down the street who has one old time pump besides his barn I will have to get a shot of this.
Thanks
Fred
