After lunch at Sue's folk's house on Thanksgiving, her mother, brother, sister and I decided to take a walk through Spitler Woods, State Natural Area (SNA) and Park, Near Mt. Zion in central Illinois. (Sue was sick.)
These two trees were in the woods of Spitler SNA:
... and the next two are from the walk back to the house in Mt. Zion:
All shot with the Canon dRebel XT/350D and the Sigma 18-50mm, f2.8EX lens.

I love the bare branches tree photos.

Strong, late daylight and a deep blue sky. I love that kind of setting!

Thanks Chris,
That one was on private property and surrounded by other houses. I was gonna drop to the ground for an even better angle, but the folks I was walking with were already pressed to understand my "actions" and what I was looking at. (They're not "shooters", of course.)
I am a different person when I'm behind a lens.
