Just got my Manfrotto Tripod


... SB600 speedlight, and diffusers in today.

I love my D50 - but the built in flash sucks rocks, and my Tripod is from 1979. I NEEDED this stuff to take my work to the next level. (The level after that is some new glass and a SB800, but let's see if I can get through the Xmas season first without bankrupting myself. :rolleyes)

The Manfrotto is built like a tank, I think I'm in love. :lust

The action-grip ball head comes in later today

Got a killer deal on the tri-pod and head from Amazon: $180 shipped! Now the combo is at $260. I've noticed a lot of 1 and 2 day sales going on over there.

Thanks for posting this! I've been looking for a new tripod / ball head combo as a Christmas present for myself (given to me by my wife) and I think you've just made up my mind for me! I like that ball head.

Now if only I can get the deal you got. Just curious, looking on Amazon, the tripod and head are both sold by Adorama. Did you get them direct from Amazon or were your's sold via Adorama?

Oddly - Amazon.

I told another buddy about the deal I got no more then 12 hours after I ordered it and when he went on-line, he was also getting it from Adorama and +$90 what I paid.

The web economy still confuses me... but occasionally I get luck.
