So out of these two versions:

Which one works better for you, the D-grin audience? :scratch (I've been fiddling with the "pop" tutorials...)

Also, is there a way to PhotChop that shadow out of his face? I tried - but was severly limited by my copy of PS 6.01.

Compared to working with the copy of CS on the Mac at work, it's like trying to scratch an itch with an garden rake. :huh I have the Lightroom Beta and prefer it to the old copy of PS.

I also think the 1st one is better - colors are bolder

First one, hands down--colors are much better.

Another vote for #1 - the second looks a bit too washed out, especially in the face. Great job with the first one though!

I agree with Mr. CSwinton from Kansas City, MO. Definately #1. That is how I'd do it.

Thanks guys... The 1st one is my pop'd image - the second is the original.

Any hints on how to get the shadow caused by his arm to be less jarring?

No, but your skin tones are off. Too much blue/magenta, not enough yellow. Check out the skin tones tute.

Kres, a quick healing brush session helped blend that face shadow a little. I vote for the first also.

I don't want the cheese, I just want to get out of the trap.
