Basketball tournament
I got to shoot a couple games of the opening basketball tournament for the local paper. I had a good time and got some fun shots.
It looks like the ball is just too small, but this kid is just huge.
These two guys are getting too much flubber in their wheaties.
This was my first basketball game. I got a lot of really good action with poor focus. As the tournament progressed I got a lot better. I know this ones a bit out of focus, but the action was too good.
I never played highschool sports (I was a skier and snowboarder) so I'm constantly amazed by these guys. The height they get is incredible.
Somehow he didn't loose the ball.
I shot most of the images with the d2h and 50mm f1.4 on manual at 1/500 and f1.4 iso 1600. The long lens shots were with the D2h and 70-200 f2.8 on manual 1/500 and f2.8 iso 1600 and sb-800 flash at 1/4 power.
